Artist's Comments

It's a drawing by one of the wonderful photos of
I'm very grateful to her for letting me use it. :aww:

I wanted to take some rest from my usual graphite drawings and
make something slightly different. And then I saw a beautiful picture
of a beautiful kitty with beautiful, beautiful eyes... :)
This picture was drawn with white coloured pencil on black paper.
The 'negative' effect was very interesting to create and the picture
didn't take too long- about 2 days.

What if the Hokey Kokey really is what it's all about!?!

I love the way you created the 'depth' and translucence with the eyes, it's a real skilled piece of work. As someone who loves working on black paper myself, I really respect what you've done here. The eyes are the strength in this piece.

the eyes are spectacular!! amazing job! definetly a fav.

Excellent work!
I also think white on black is a very interesting way of drawing. And I have to admit that I find that easier than black pencil on white paper:crazy: Maybe I'm just too lazy...?
:D

No good with words! I'd rather draw... :)

Very beautiful. Well done..

I was trying really hard to make it as realistic as I could. So I'm very happy if you think I succeeded. :thanks:
Thanks so much for your comment and a fav!

I really appreciate your words. The eyes were probably the most impressive part in the original photo,
so I knew that I have to achieve it in my drawing as well. I'm very glad that you like how they are drawn.
Thanks very much for :+fav:!
