Hi,
This is the third digital painting I did so far, and probably the one, into which I dedicated most of myself. Actually, during the last days while painting, I started nitpicking so much that I really had to force myself to finally finish it. I had a nice time working on this picture - the look on the child's face, the proud expression of the bird and the vivid colours - everything was pure pleasure to capture.
It goes under "Fantasy" category, mostly because of the purple colour of the child's eyes. Besides, I love fantasy, so why not adding another contribution to it?.. ;)

Sorry for the watermarks. I really hate them, but after all, you have to learn from your experience..

That is incredible!!! It looks like a photograph, but incredibly better in some sort of way. I love the details.. the texture of the child's face, and especially around the nose - it makes it so life-like. The eyelashes, the eyes... the fluttering wings of the bird. All the different colours on the bird's body - it's almost unfathomable how you actually accomplished that. Wonderful job! I'm amazed, as usual.

wow...very photorealistic!
i startet painting with a wacom a view days ago and i know how difficult it is from "real" rawing.
but otherwise its a lot of fun because you have much more options (my favourite is ctrl + z ^^).

you have a very detailed view! really good!

this is amazing! you can see your style come through in the child's eyes, but at the same time the colours are more vibrant and soft (like a painting, lol) which is a nice change from the pencil stuff (not that those aren't awesome, its just nice to see others things!)
