Recently I thought how I miss my oil pastel pencils, so I decided to use them for this drawing. And then I remembered why I stopped using them some time ago- they're too grainy to use for small details. So this picture came out not as detailed as I wanted, but at least I got the black/white contrast instead of the usual grey/white.
The whole concept is quite symbolic and could be explained in several ways. I think I'll just leave it for your own interpretations, which I'd be interested to hear.
Tools I used:
*Watercolour paper (I'm still searching for one, which is not so grainy)
*Faber Castell black oil pastel pencil (medium soft)
*Crimson colour pencil
*Clothes and pose inspired by a photo of Amy Lee
