11 Eyes by Snow-Owl 11 Eyes by Snow-Owl
This is what I came up with after a month of having no ideas for drawing.
Finally I decided to create a picture of something, that is most fun to draw for me- eye and some 'flying creatures'. :)

As usual, the tools are: a mechanical pencil and some coloured ones.
Don't ask about the paper- I don't know (but it's quite good to draw on) ;)

So all I needed was:
*2B lead mechanical pencil and some blue-yellow ones
*Some kind of a drawing paper
*Eye reference of Bjork and several ref pics of the 'winged things'

Thank you very, very much for watching and faving!!

A unique juxtaposition that is both delicate and discomfitting, 11 Eyes by ~Snow-Owl implements great design elements and almost flawless technique. ( Suggested by asymons and Featured by oedalis )

I still love your art. But I also want you to have a look at www.cedric-cazal.com, an artist I discovered last year, and that might inspire you. What I loved was his framing style, and in real paintings its just amazing.

Keep on the great work !!

Thanks for the link, he really makes quite an impressive art, from what I've seen so far. In fact, I don't recall any other artworks that would've been so exceptional because of their framing!

Exactly what I felt when saw his art in Paris. 4, 5 or 6 feet large paintings where really impressive because of these unconventional framings. You just make me think of him. Great subject served by an original framing. You have enough technique and beautiful subjects to try large scales and painting.
Just a suggestion ... Keep on you great work

The eye as big as the wall would look quite interesting, wouldn't it? ;) Anyways, if you're interested in a print, just let me know!

Um mechanical pencils look something like that: [link]
I'm sure you could find them somewhere in your nearest store, maybe you just hadn't noticed them before. ;) Mech pencils are best for small details, although I'm using them for a whole drawing. Thanks for your comment! :)

 ...how do you manage the very tiny details on the skin... the brighter / white areas i mean... doesn't it get smudged the while you finish drawing.. or you erase them when done with whole thing? looking at this... I'm inspired to draw something in detail this time...

These little white spots are made on a blended layer of graphite, with a sharp point of a kneadable eraser. Or your could take a small bit of a normal eraser- the effect would be just about the same. ;)
